The World Martial Arts Masters was founded in 1996 by Grand Master Sid Campbell and Mark Gerry. Soon after Grand Master Eric Lee and Dan Tosh and others joined us. Over the last 20+ years we have recognized men and women for "Greatness" in the martial arts. We are fully self-supporting by our own contributions. All Awards are freely given (FREE) to the recipients. There are never (ANY) cost in receiving the award or attending one of our events. Most events that we present the awards at are produced by other organizations and we are allowed to perform the award ceremonies at their events even at these events if you are receiving an award there will be (no charge).
We believe that there should be a Hall of Fame for the martial arts that there is no cost for anyone to receive the awards or attend. Even when Black Belt Magazine had their Hall of Fame although most of the inductees were World Famous Champion martial artist there was always those few that advertised in the magazine every month that would make it into the Hall of Fame. You can't buy your way into this one you can only work hard and become a great martial artist that will buy you in. if you would like to Recommend a Master/Grand Master of the Martial Arts over the age of 35 that has over 25 years + of Non Stop Martial arts Training that should receive an Award you can send me the info and I will forward it to the WMAM Board.
